Hi again. Just to update the replacing of a new starter/Alt unit. This morning I went out early to have a good look myself after it was mentioned about drilling required. If you look at the block casting, were the fixing bolt goes through, there are two sleeves fitted. Once removed then you can access two more sleeves. Both of these were of the split type. These were removed with either a punch or an extractor. This then allowed you to fit the new sleeves supplied in the bearing liner kit. After remounting the starter/alternator unit, it was a case of fitting the new sprung loaded tension er and new belt to which needed a stretching too to fit belt back on. Cut the plastic band holding the tension er spring assembly together and tighten up all fixings. Refitted remaining and now working correctly. FIXED.
