This Ford wet belt is a disaster and most breakages seem to result in the engine being written off such is the damage.

Also a very expensive belt to replace.

I was talking to my local Ford parts man recently and he said "when the pre 2009 model with the dry belt is due for replacement Ford recommend upgrading to the wet belt conversion!!!!
