Yes! they'll replace no matter what - but only within 30 days. After that you're into a standard 24 month warranty (and replace it only once)

Like you say there's so many different things influencing whether these this fail. And obviously no one fits a turbo wrong on purpose. So the guarantee is to give the garage a break if anything does go wrong to get the car back to the customer asap with as little hassle as possible.
