I have done two ecu immobiliser bypasses a long time ago, The first one was for a UKAT member and then one for myself, but most customers only want it bypassing as they think it will be cheaper, but because of the time it takes to do the job I would always go for a repair and get the remote locking and everything working again.

I would check all the fuses under the dash and also under the bonnet and if there are any blown, check the wiring in the tailgate as they short out in the rubber tube and stop the immobiliser and remote from working, if anyone has then fitted a bigger fuse, it sometimes burns out the tracks on the 5AS unit. Used 5AS units can be fitted easily.
