this car has failed mot because the low brake fluid light which doubles as the handbrake warning light is permanently on. Have checked switch at lever and disconnected also tried disconnecting and bridging terminals on reservoir, only thing i notice is warning lamp goes slightly dimmer when handbrake is released.

Suspect problem may be in instrument panel but was hoping somebody may have come across this before or has a wiring diag for it to help diagnose?
