Year of Manufacture *: 2006
( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: CR12 1240cc
Hoping to get some help on this one!
We have from a trade customer a Nissan Micra S Automatic which is a 2006 K12 series. The box is the conventional auto not the CVT and it is coming up with a code of 0745 and showing pressure control s/v. Problem it that the solenoid pack has been changed by our customer for a new solenoid valve pack. I have checked the wiring from the plug on the gearbox to the box ECU and the resistances all indicate that there are no issues with the wiring. I have checked the resistance of the pressure control s/v both from the plug on the box and the ECU and its about 2.4 ohms which seems low, however the solenoid valve that came out of the car originally is a very similar resistance value.
When I use an amps clamp and scope on the wire from the ECU to the solenoid, when the car is put in to gear, the solenoid draws 2.4 amps for a split second, however this is pulsed at 20 milliseconds intervals irrespective of the engine/gearbox rpm, and the changes are harsh!! I have my own thoughts on what is going on here, which are based on my thinking that the solenoid resistance is too low, however I have no data for the correct value of this component so am working blind at the moment.
My question is has anyone got any ideas about this problem or seen it before, or has anyone got the auto box wiring diagrams or component specifications for this car, that they could let me have as I am struggling to bottom this one!! Your help and comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Roger
