Maybe one for the Theory Board but can faulty fueling on a diesel such as a dodgy injector cause enough heat to melt a piston?
My understanding is that with a diesel if there is a fueling issue it would make smoke, unlike petrol injection where a faulty injector / fueling could cause enough heat to melt a piston
