The piston high difference would not need to be a lot to alter the comp. pressure,s.
How accurate can you measure the piston high via the injector hole,s ? how was they measured ?

Yes it has hydraulic lifters but they are small as is there limits for adjustment. I have known the valve,s to be held open when cold and have a misfire.
