Run the engine from cold & monitor /graph the coolant temp reading in MVB's & monitor the warm up of the engine top & bottom hoses.
The thermostats fail in the open position on this engine logging the fault listed. on a run the engine won't get over 50C.
The water pump impellers crack & freewheel also logging the fault listed. On a run the heater goes cold & the engine temp rises rapidly, radiator stays cool - there will be no return flow through the return pipe to the reservoir when revved.
A previous oil cooler failure can result in sludge buildup / blockages, particularly in the heater causing poor cooling behaviour.
And - the temp senders fail with amazing regularity - often logging -40 or + 140C from startup or readings lurching all over the place on warm up by 10 + degrees, often around the 50 - 70C region. Temp Sender is the most common reason for the DTC you have.
