the new SID (service interval display) for the Audi Longlife and Audi Inspection service categories.
The new SID will be introduced as from the market launch of the Audi A5 and as from model year 2008 in the Audi A3 and Audi TT.
As opposed to the existing models, not only the values for the oil change interval will be displayed, but also those for the service inspection and any
additional work required.
These intervals will be displayed by mileage (km/miles) and in days.
For the Audi A5 these values will be displayed on the MMI CAR menu.
For the Audi A3 and TT (from model year 2008) and Audi R8 (from SW version 0320) these values will be displayed on the dash panel insert display.
The new SID has been introduced in the following models:
(The relevant Guided Functions under Service work are automatically displayed, provided the correct access is used to Guided Functions, Model,
Model year- :
Audi A3 from model year 2008
Audi TT from model year 2008
Audi A4 from launch
Audi A5 from launch
Audi Q5 from launch
Audi A6 from model year 2009 and from production week 46/08 (detected automatically when accessing Guided Functions based on the dash panel insert variant)
Audi Q7 from model year 2009 and from production week 46/08 (detected automatically when accessing Guided Functions based on the dash
panel insert variant)
Audi R8 from model year 2009
TU The adaption channels for the mileage and time dependent services may only be reset and rewritten by way of Guided Functions!! Incorrect
writing of the adaption channels, such as by self-diagnosis, will result in incorrect calculation of future services!! To determine future service intervals (in km and in days) the maintenance table must always be used!! The Service Booklet is inadequate as a source of information, and must not be used.
