Thanks for the response, just to get my terminology correct, do you mean the kick panel? I've checked the multi-plug connectors on both sides of the vehicle (pulled them apart) but can find no connection "under the rubber" or anything resembling a rubber. I've also found that there is no communication to the CAN gateway so the plot thickens.
