The alternator is water cooled & you can't get to the back of it. It's not too bad to change, just need to remove viscous fan, radiator cowling etc. It is bolted in from the front & sealed using an "o" ring, so you'll need to give it a wiggle/lever. Genuine unit is approx £700.
