This past year Barkley had an all time great season for philly, and was joined by AJ Brown and Devante Smith. Tampa won with Evans, Godwin and Gronk on offense. I think the Rams won it on Kupp's triple crown year.
In my opinion the Harbaugh way, will lead to a very tomlinesque situation. Winning enough close games against average to bad teams with good defense and a conservative offense. But being nowhere near good enough to win in the playoffs.
I believe the Chargers are much closer to missing the playoffs next year, then they are to playing in an AFC championship game. Take a look at there wins last season, you will not find a good team on the list. Just think Harbaugh's effect on the team so far has been greatly overrated.

take a look again at last years rosters. Maybe you could argue the pats and panthers. but the rest are not even close. The cards, seahawks and bills were far superior at the skill positions, not even in the same ballpark. J.k. Dobbins was a journeyman that baltimore finally gave up on. I would put these teams on par or worse than Chargers weapons. Pats., Cards, Titans, Panthers, Saints, Seahawks, (right now anyway) and believe it or not maybe the mighty Bills.
I do believe Herbert is top tier qb and I was hoping they would get Adams. I don't know what they see in Najee but maybe I'm being too hard on the guy. Previous Message
23 tds with 3 ints last year. The team would have been lucky to win 3 games without him.
Dobbins is a washed up hack, QJ is a never was who continued to drop passes on a regular basis. Certainly herbert will not get credit until the team wins in the post season. but his only weapon on offense was the undersized rookie mcconkey.
Look at teams like Cincy with jamar chase and Higgins, miami with hill and waddle, the rams with puka and kupp, now they are ready to get rid of kupp and they add devonte adams.
Last season the chargers had the worst weapons (rb/te/wr) in the NFL. If you think I am being too hard on them show me a few teams with worse weapons. They will add some over the hill journeyman at wr (keenan allen, kupp, or diggs) an old guy that nobody else wants.
I honestly believe if herbert had played with chase and higgins as his wrs he would already have a superbowl.

They did draft recs. the last two years and McConkey and QJ look like they could be pretty good. Dobbins looked pretty good last year also. Perhaps it's time Herbert takes some of the blame also. Once again the chargers are not giving herbert any weapons to work with. It is a miracle he led them to the playoffs last year with the worst weapons in the NFL. Has beens/never wases at RB, nothing at TE and one undersized rookie wr.
Everybody thinks Harbaugh and Ortiz improved the team so much. Really? Last year they got in as a wildcard and got there as kicked in round one.
Brandon Staley is considered a joke of a coach. His last season was bad, due to herbert being injured and missing half the year. But the year before with a healthy herbert the chargers were a wildcard and barely lost to jax in the first round.
I just dont see the improvement that everyone else does under harbaugh.
They will be crappy teams again this year by playing good defense and not turning the ball over. But they will lose again to every good team they play because they can't score any points with the crap weapons they have on offense.
Herbert should ask to be traded to a team that wants to try to score on offense. Maybe the steelers with pickens and metcalf.
