I think maybe you're being a little hard on the Chargers. They did draft recs. the last two years and McConkey and QJ look like they could be pretty good. Dobbins looked pretty good last year also. Perhaps it's time Herbert takes some of the blame also.

Once again the chargers are not giving herbert any weapons to work with. It is a miracle he led them to the playoffs last year with the worst weapons in the NFL. Has beens/never wases at RB, nothing at TE and one undersized rookie wr.
Everybody thinks Harbaugh and Ortiz improved the team so much. Really? Last year they got in as a wildcard and got there as kicked in round one.
Brandon Staley is considered a joke of a coach. His last season was bad, due to herbert being injured and missing half the year. But the year before with a healthy herbert the chargers were a wildcard and barely lost to jax in the first round.
I just dont see the improvement that everyone else does under harbaugh.
They will be crappy teams again this year by playing good defense and not turning the ball over. But they will lose again to every good team they play because they can't score any points with the crap weapons they have on offense.
Herbert should ask to be traded to a team that wants to try to score on offense. Maybe the steelers with pickens and metcalf.
