Captain William > Christopher M > William > Christopher C > Henry > Everett > Roger > James
Notably, Christopher M was a sergeant in the 2nd Maryland Regiment during the Revolutionary War and married Martha Clark, daughter of Abraham Clark who signed the Declaration of Independence. That would make Mr. Clark my GGGGG grandfather as well.

: Hello, I too have been doing research with
: Captain William Parrott, mostly with his
: descendants. I just recently came across
: Captain William. I have extensive
: information concerning his son Christopher.
: I would like to contact the person that
: started this thread or that responded, I do
: not know how to. Was wondering if you could
: help me. Thank you.
:
: *Anyone with information concerning Captain
: William Parrott can also email me.

: I apologize for the delay in responding to
: your inquiry. Our library has been in the
: process of moving over the last several
: months, and we are now finally settled at
: our new location, the Greenbelt public
: library building at 11 Crescent Road in
: Greenbelt, MD.
:
: I have checked the obvious sources
: (land/probate records, etc.) that are easily
: available to us here at the PGC Historical
: Society library and find very little about
: the Parrott/Perrott family. One reference
: that might be helpful (and which you have
: doubtless already found) is that in the
: 1720s Gabriel Parrott was the owner of
: property known as "Parrott's
: Thicket" which he had received in 1670
: by patent #12:632. (This reference is found
: in a Deed M:218, 22 June 1727.)
:
: Perhaps more helpful is a reference in Deed
: F:113 (24 November 1718) between Gabriel
: Parker of PG County and Henry Hall of Anne
: Arundel County, which indicates that on 9
: February 1700, the grantor, Gabriel Parker,
: had received from his grandfather, Gabriel
: Parrott, tracts known as "Parrotts's
: Thickett" and "Eglington" -
: that Gabriel Parker was the only surviving
: male child of George Parker and his wife
: Susannah Parrott Parker, daughter of the
: above-cited Gabriel Parrott. These lands
: had to be equally divided between the male
: children of George and Susannah Parker, and
: since Gabriel Parker was their only
: surviving male child, he received these
: lands in 1700.
:
: This deed also indicates that Gabriel
: Parker's wife is Ann Parker. I hope that
: this is of some help. You will undoubtedly
: find more information at the Maryland State
: Archives.
:
: Good luck with your research!

: My cousin five times removed and I are
: looking
: for the parents of our common fifth
: great-grandfather, Captain William Parrott,
: who is said to have been born and married in
: Prince Georges County..born around 1720 and
: married in Marlboro around 1752 to a woman
: also from Prince Georges. I am very new at
: this kind of search and am wondering if it
: would be best if I come to Maryland or is
: there research help available by
: correspondence?
