There was a road which was known as the Marlboro-Ritchie Station Road which went to Bladensburg from Marlboro Pike. I think this may just be the one. It is Ritchie-Marlboro Road today. Could this fit?

: Daniel Carroll Tommey’s book, The
: Johnson-Gilmor Raid, July 9-13, 1864, states
: that General Johnson stopped in Beltsville
: to burn train box cars and capturing mules.
: He also set up an artillery piece on the
: property next to the St John’s Episcopal
: Church at US 1 and Powder Mill Rd. From
: there he was traveling to Southern MD via
: the “Marlboro Rd” when he received orders to
: abort the mission. From there he traveled
: to the Rossborough Estate at the Agriculture
: College (U of MD) then on to Montgomery
: County to rejoin the rest of the Confederate
: forces. The only Marlboro Rd that I know of
: is Rt 202. From the maps and text given in
: the book, Johnson was in or near what is now
: the USDA farm when he received his orders.
: From present day maps, the “Marlboro Road”
: in question is Soil Conversation Rd. Would
: your office be as so kind to confirm this?
: Thank you very much. Bryan Green
