Magic without magick.

Ok, I haven't posted on here in a long time. Years in fact. When I did I went by the name Lizard. Perhaps Mimi or Bob remember but if not that's ok. I met you guys before in the store, you still had Raoul. He was beautiful and the whole experience was magical for a kid from rural tx. I was probably about 16. I started out my occult journey as many do by learning about Wicca from others. I outgrew it after time and searched for more answers. Anyway at some point I had some kind of epiphany or realization about magick. It's all the same, no matter what religion or path or style. A few different techniques of course, different gods or spirits, but a mixture of willpower, visualization, and ritual. So I determined at the time that magick is within us, not outside entity's. So I began practicing with only my own will. I stopped calling the elements, corners, God's, etc. I actually was quite successful with this style of practice. Then I stopped practicing. Growing up, life, being young and stupid and partying too much. That's why I quit studying and trying to learn more. But the reason I stopped actually practicing spell work is because it was never needed anymore. It seems like ever since I had that epiphany, which was an actual experience rather than just thinking about it and coming to a conclusion, if something I need in life comes up it happens before I ever get needy enough to cast said spell. So what I'm curious about is, could it just be awesome luck or Karma, perhaps subconsciously I make it happen. I want to know your thoughts on this. I'm not a very spiritual person these days. I don't meditate, I haven't done the star exercise in ages. I drink too much etc. And yet, I still feel that same epiphany. So please, I'd like to know whatever you think. Tell me I'm full of it if you like, but I'm certainly curious if yall know anything relative to what I'm talking about. Emmett
