Being up big and hitting the middle is bad sportsmanship... but at the same time younger guys just starting out learned in baseball that middle is where u wanna hit it because its the biggest hole on the field, that carries over when they start playing softball, but middle is open.. we have gloves and the whole nine... glove a few and show em that middle is closed and they will stop lol... trash talking and hitting it is one thing... utrip needs to do what other sanctions have started doing.... take the bat test it, eject the player if they mention anything about intentionally trying to do it.. hell I have played in tourneys where the pitcher has a circle... not big maybe 2ft by 2 ft... but if it hits the pitcher within that circle, ball is dead, batter is out, bat is gone for the game, gets tested the whole nine...utrip shud and cud do something very similar to this if not the exact same thing.. but I guess its gonna have to be like everything else, somebody is gonna have to get killed before anything is done and thats a damn shame... we play for fun we all have families at home and to me there is no place in sports period that wud want to intentionally try and hurt someone
