Obviously, there's the ones from close friends and family... Which we opened (most of them) in the following months after George passed. But a lot of folks don't realize he got a lot of FAN MAIL during the holidays as well.
And what to do with all THAT?
How long should I wait to open the 500 lbs of generic and uninspired CRAP that people from all over the world send him? Do you know how many homemade "Last Christmas" T-shirts people would actually make and SEND to poor George? How many "I Want YOUR Sex, George" postcards from loose women... Who were all north of 50, mind you. And it's not like he was even INTO that sort of thing.
It was a true Circus of Gaudiness around here. And we would just incinerate it, anyway.
But since he died, I've been saddened by the burden of removing the final Christmas gifts of George Michael.
I've also been trying to remove the smell too.
