Very disappointing re the litter. Interesting pathology problem. I assume you do not know whether Mabel has any signs of liver disfunction. If not, that would suggest the pups' livers failed to develop properly and they made it to term because of placental support.A post natal toxin seems unlikely. It would help to have an autopsy on a pup, and have histology on the liver. I will look around in available literature and see what I can find.
