Had Mabel's pups arrive and all seemed to be in order!!! Active and very nice as they started to suckle. Next morning one had died and I assumed she had lay down on it!! Good mother and all were cleaned and seemed to be doing well. Later that afternoon something seemed off and I got some esbelac to supplement feeding. Then several just died. Next morning took the last 2 remaining and went to the vet. They sent me off to the emergency clinic for tests and checkup!! After they came out to tell me neither would survive and there was not bacterial or toxins involved. Then the shocker came as they said no liver function was found.
I have talked to many vets and breeders and nobody seems to have had anything like this before. The vet who worked on them said he had never seen it in over 35 years in practice!! Shame of it is that these had the potential to be very nice!! Disappointed yes!! Any thoughts from anybody!!!
