I have been thinking about this off and on for some time: - Jud 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Have anyone any thoughts about this statement? Do you think it has any connection to: - Deu 32:8 When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God. Could it in any way be connected to: - Gen 6:4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown. I thought it would be helpful to have other opinions. Best Regards Bill
Hi Bill Good to hear from you. It is an interesting question. Not certain, but it seems like there may be a connection. The angels appear to be implicated in the wrongdoings of the sons of God - maybe as accomplices. Regarding Jude 1:6, “left their habitation”, maybe some angels were meant to stay in the heavens but erred by coming to earth, maybe to assist sons of God (as servants). Speculating here, but will look into it. Certainly an interesting topic.

Hi Margaret, thank you for you reply. I was thinking along the lines that the Sons of God in Deut.32:8, and Gen.6:4, are the same!? I think was trying to say the "Angels" in Jude should maybe also be identified as Sons of God!? Perhaps thinking they may be the "god's" mentioned in Ps.82. and Ps.89:6. This was just a thought -----and I thought why not ask other for their opinion. Have a good day, Bill.
G'day Bill, Hebrews 2:5 "For He did not subject to angels the coming age of which we speak. " Seems the angels were created before us, and were very much involved in the set up of the first earth and the running of that age. Then Jesus comes down, changing the system and rearranging the hierarchy upon His resurrection. The current state of being still has the angels involved, but not at the same level. Satan still the prince of this age, has some angels backing his government, but will not be at that level of authority in the next phase. Will be a major change to what we currently have in place. As the Hebrews verse points out the change of authority will make the world better and a different way of life which will be awesome instead of haphazard. Currently some angels have been restricted and placed in custody so that they can not use their powers like they'd like. Imagine us trying to overpower them while we are in our current state of being. We have Jesus name/power as our sealed protection, just on hold for the moment till the next phase. All pretty incredible really. C.U
