Does anyone know if there have been any class actions suits filed against the Government over this issue? If so, what was the out come?
Why are we trying to prove contact with the perimeter, when they haven't proven they controlled or contained the defoliants to the perimeter areas?
One-trillionth of a gram is all that was needed to contaminate you in Takhli?
Chemicals stayed deadly 10-12 years AFTER being sprayed all around the base. The drift zone was 500 meters (1,640 feet) on both sides of the perimeter. That's nearly 4,000 feet in total of a continuous deadly circle with no barriers, no decontamination of perimeter personnel, no ground cover, and no attempt to keep a still deadly substance away from you no matter where on the base you lived or worked.
There was zero chance you were there without being exposed.
We shouldn't be trying to prove we were actually ON THE PERIMETER- they should be proving they kept the deadly contaminants safely away from us.
The criteria they use to say we were safe is the criteria used for a solid contaminate that has little or no chance of moving.
Agent Orange dried after being sprayed and moved with the wind, rain, animals, people, vehicles, and all other items and life forms that touched the perimeter on the way to wherever you lived or worked. How many on here lost a part of their sense of smell in Takhli? You breathed it in daily and it adversely affected your olfactory bulb, lungs, and any other area of your body.
The miserable suggest list of ailments covered by the VA is a joke. The dioxin had no guidelines or limits. The VA budget has limits- but not the dioxin in agent orange and the other defoliants used.
Tell them to prove to you beyond a doubt it was contained. They can't. containment was an impossibility.
