Re: Takhli thailand
The F4C came toward the end of my tour. I don't recall the SSGT twins. I was an airman 1st class. When I left tackli there were twice as many airmen there as when I came. There was a real need for munitions specialists and a lot of NCOS were cross training from other carrier fields. I had NCOs working for me at that time. There were SSGT's, TSEG's and I recall one MSEG. Good to hear from you. Do you remember the rice bugs that came during the monsoone season? the huge lite all units we had to light up the transfer area would attract them. The nationals loved to eat them. They would cook them on the manifold of the light all unit. I Remember while going through the chow line one morning after our 12 hr shift, one of the nationals Working in the mess hall, while frying the eggs, reached down in a bag and pulled out a rice bug and smashed it on the grill with the spatula. Some of us passes on the eggs that day. SOS was the better choice.
