There is quite an interest among Takhli vets. in regards to VA claims for exposure to herbicides (Agent Orange). I myself am looking for answers to my cancer. There seems to be a lot of confusion on filing VA claims for Herbicide exposure. I have seen many posts here and other Veterans sites that if you file for AO exposure they will deny it based on the Government says AO was in Thailand only for a test in some remote place in 1964. The VA last year opened the door for Thailand vets that were on the perimeter of the bases. I filed my claim (July 10) with the help from a VSO for Herbicide exposure. I have not heard from the VA other than a letter every few months saying that they are working on it. If you have filed a VA claim and have been successful please post how you filed. Include the years you were at Takhli please. I have seen that the VA will not approve claims prior to 1969. I hope this can help other Thailand vets win one. We sure seem to get the short end of the stick as Vets of the Viet-Nam War. Thank you.
