Oxford had a pretty active grain elevator on the PC back in the 70's, and there was also some kind of manufacturing business that used rail, and a lumber yard...also, NYC/PC did do some gravel hauling from the pits along M-24...and thanks for asking about Utica...I got it wrong above when I said that it was Rochester to Mackinaw...Utica was the actual start of the abandonment. Even old foggies like me make boo boo's on occasion.
