Greenwood was planned to have 2 nuclear reactors. Rail access for nuclear plants is helpful.

I think it took Detroit Edison quite sometime before the proposed nuclear reactors were shelved. Might be a case that since the rail has been in place this long, might as well leave it in place. Cheaper to leave it there than take it out?
