My Railroad Atlas of North America covering lower Michigan shows such a line. But that same atlas omits the Michigan Central North Branch(Mt. Forest to Bomanville/Raymond) which records show existed.

The line shown as Highwood to Raymond may have been a logging railroad. Generally, maps never tried to track the various logging railroad lines. Because once the trees were gone, the rail line was gone. But sometimes they did.
