Thanks Gordy...we were up there in August 2016. At that time, the track was still active to Baraga, and the CN kept the Lanse power there overnight. Seen that. I did read from this site a couple of years ago that little section of track was O/S, or maybe abandoned. I can't remember. Anyway, we also made it to Copper Harbor, and did some former ROW looking around. Found a couple of abandoned copper mining sites, and still amazed at the Portage Canal Bridge. The biggest reality check is the fact that Milwaukee road ran a passenger train over this dual bridge for a few years before abandonment. Oh, the good ol' times.
