We discussed this project along with Highland Copper’s other two projects (Copper Wood and another project in the Keweenaw) at a recent geologic outreach meeting. Sounds like the new White Pine is still 5-7 years from being operational with consideration of permitting issues and financial consideration—still a lot of financial hoops to jump through on this one. I’ve wondered how the condition of the high trestle over the Potato River and Vaughn Creek play if the line were to be reopened.

A few months back didn’t the Highlands enter the bidding for the former Ontonagon & Brule River grade?
