Must have been great memories.

Have always been fascinated w/ GTW's operations of the W portion of the Old Main, particularly E of the Kearsley Tower.

AFAIK, when I-475 came thru in the 70's, that's what officially severed the GTW Old Main. There were a handful of customers along Robert T. that were serviced. When was this line pulled? I'm under the impression that it was the early 80's.

What were the signals on Dort Hwy? Vernon? Franklin? Signals w gates, or bare crossbucks for the low volume streets?

I do have a picture of the GTW trestle over the Gilkey Creek near Sloan Museum circa 1985. I believe the tracks were gone at that time. The trestle and other obstacles were removed via continued flooding on the E side of Flint off of Court Street which led to major lawsuits and such...so goes the story I'm told.
