I think a lot of the operational schedule is conducive to what CSX wants/does...keep in mind, the ability of Lake State to go south was an operational "haulage agreement" between the two railroads...in otherwords, Lake State is binding to appease CSX and their wishes...and as for actually going into Plymouth to exchange, CSX must not have wanted the trackage there being fouled up with switching operations...they gave LSRR rights only to "Little River", a so named railroad spot about 1.5 miles north of Plymouth. Now that being said, so far, the way things are moving between Flint and Wixom are far better now than when CSX was running it up till last March 29th. My opinion is this...Things are good now, and if there is anything that can make operations/schedules any better, LSRR will find it. CSX really didn't in my opinion, care too much about Flint.
