Two trains, one crew...the northbound a.m. Plymouth to Flint #127 is a fresh crew...Once they are in Flint, the outbound train/cars for southward train are for the most part made up by the #101 yard crew, but may be occupying two or three yard tracks. #127 crew comes in, drops off inbound cars, spends a few hours mingling around the yard, sometimes waiting for the afternoon #126 inbound from Saginaw train. Then, the #127 crew puts it's entire train together, gets clearance south from Saginaw dispatcher, and heads out south in the afternoon, with the same crew, and when they get back to Novi/Wixom, drop off their cars for CSX, they've usually done a 9-10 hour day. Crew goes off duty, engines set idle until the next a.m., and the scenario repeats itself. Same thing with the Saginaw to Flint and return train #126. This allows 4 trains, using 2 crews.
