When you watch with someone who has never seen it, it is almost like seeing it with new eyes. That time was so incredible. College classes were cancelled. Parties were organized around the country to celebrate with them. It was a sensation. I honestly don't remember anything that approached the excitement over LnL on TV. It followed the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady DI, and I think, for a lot of people, that this was America's answer to a royal wedding. Interesting coincidence that Luke was a Spencer!!! Maybe he and Lady Di were related WAAAY back!!!
