If you ask me, this LP is a Masterpiece. And for the record (pun intended) so was BOB DYLAN's follow-up 1964 album:
THE TIMES THEY ARE A-CHANGIN'.
Regarding THE FREEWHEELIN' BOB DYLAN - whereby BOB DYLAN began writing his own songs ----
Bob was worried about the "Cold War" between the United States (JFK) and the Soviet Union (Nikita Khruchev)....
thinking he would not have enough time alive to write more songs. [LP liner notes]
FREEWHHELIN' begins with Bob Dylan's (arguably) best song: "Blowin' In The Wind" but also includes other gems too.
Watching the News on CNN....this song hits hard:
