Max, whenever I met Bob Shane backstage, we always had good conversations and lots of laughs.
He mentioned a few times that the only (real) KINGSTON TRIO were the original guys featuring Dave Guard, Nick Reynolds, and himself.

I did not want to contradict Bob so I said nothing. (Shhh...)
But I felt John Stewart replaced Dave Guard faithfully, and in my own personal opinion, there actually were "TWO" KINGSTON TRIOs.

(and they BOTH recorded albums for Capitol Records until NBJ moved to Decca)

But to dismiss the "Stewart Trio" wasn't fair!
What about those great NBJ Capitol albums?
