Edited by Max H Schwartz on 2/22/2025, 12:04 pm ChatGPT wrote everything I posted. It's an incredible tool. It gets its information from the internet and you have to watch this. Because not everything on the internet is accurate or true when it comes to opinions. ChatGPT usually takes a middle ground stand on most controversial issues and usually tries to tell both sides when there is conflict. We all have our own opinions on thigs, now especially during these highly controversial times. "Wonderful Town" starred Rosland Russell. That night, going down the elevator at our hotel, Eddie Albert was also on the elevator. He asked us what we were doing that night and we told him. He said we'd love the show. We did. It's show stopping song was "Ohio." My father was from Cincinati so the song had special significance. It's most interesting how the Kingston Trio brought music from Broadway into their shows.
Most notably "They Call The Wind Maria" from "Paint Your Wagon."
I suspect that this was because in 1953, when Bob was 19, his family took a trip to NYC and they saw a number of Broadway plays during this trip.
Ironically, I guess you could say, when I was 9, my family did the same thing at the same time and Bob and I saw some of the same plays. He was about 10 years older than me and I'd say they had a greater impression on him. We talked about this several times and I found it very interesting that our paths would cross in this regard.
Somewhere, I still have the Playbills from the show we saw.
Off the top of my head, we saw 4 plays and I remember 3 of them. "Wonderful Town, "Me and Juliet ," "Wish You Were Here." The 4th one isn't coming to me at the moment/
