Max, of all my Kingston Trio records, the one that means the most to me is: "Something Special"
Reason being, waaaaay back in July 1962, when I telephoned Capitol Records of Canada in Montreal,
asking what the latest album of The Kingston Trio was...the nice lady on the phone told me "Something Special"....
>>> "Just Got Released Today" Brucester
ps: terrific photo of John Stewart + Nick Reynolds + Bob Shane (taken in Hawaii)

Bruce ........
You're right about the bass players. Allan Shaw's book confirms it.
But ..........
Wow !!!
The sight of that album makes me sooooooo
Happy.
One of the best covers ever.
I still have my stripped shirt that's very similar.
A great time.
I loved this album.... Still do.
One More Town was my favorite Trio song forever.
Probably still is.
Max
I too love this album. One More Town, Away Rio and Pulling Away are songs i could listen to forever. Raises a question that has been with me for years: Why were these great songs never arranged for any of the many symphony orchestras with whom the Trio performed over the years?" Heard Bob Haworth do One More Town as a solo once in Blue Ash, Ohio (no orchestra) but that was about it.
