Sure hard to beat Dave Guard & The Kingston Trio's version of "Leave My Woman Alone"....
although Jamie Foxx & The Raelettes" do a pretty decent job in that movie "Ray".
Speaking of which....
I love this quote by Ray Charles:
"I was born with music inside me. Music was one of my parts. Like my ribs, my kidneys, my liver, my heart.
Like my blood, it was a force already within me when I arrived on the scene. Music was a necessity for me.
Like food or water." ~ Ray Charles
AND...AND...AND...
The Everly Brothers also recorded "Leave My Woman Alone" for their first album on Cadence Records. (rel: 1958)
I liked Don & Phil Everly, as did The Kingston Trio (remember "Everglades"?) and the Everly's sure had some great hits such as....
"Wake Up Little Susie" + "All I Have To Do Is Dream" + "Bird Dog" + "Bye Bye Love" + "Cathy's Clown", etc...etc...
Yes, and The Everly Brothers gave Simon & Garfunkel their sound !!! {imitation is the sincerest form of flattery}
But having said that....
I still feel our beloved Kingston Trio and Jamie Foxx & The Raelettes do a better job performing "Leave My Woman Alone" than Don and Phil Everly.
