Haven't listened to or thought about this song or Bobbie Gentry for what seems like a hundred years!
I remember a TV interview with Bobbie Gentry when the interviewer (name escapes me) was using words like "let go" instead of "fired"
and "passed away" instead of "died" and "making love" instead of "sex" when Bobbie interrupted him saying ---
"You like to use euphemisms don't you?"
