We all likely remember when Martin issued the KT commemorative guitars and contracted with Deering in San Diego (which IIRC had previously purchased the rights to use the Vega nameplate on a limited number of issues) to construct replicas of Dave's and Bob's Vegas. Deering doesn't have the plectrum in stock but seem to be willing and happy to construct one to the original Vega specs.
Deering has maintained its page on Bob's plectrum with a half dozen enlargeable pictures HERE. Previous Message
Hi Rick,
Yes, this is the same banjo as on the cover of String Along, minus the resonator and the flanges.
Bob owned at least one other Vega plectrum, a high-end Professional Model. This model is structurally equivalent to the Pete Seeger. To see Bob with this banjo, go to Jim Moran's Comparative Video -> June 2011 -> Remembering Nick Reynolds, then scroll down to Worried Man and stop at 1:38. Previous Message
Compared to the String Along album cover, it looks just like it. except for the resonator.
