Don is finally free!!!!!!!.
He posted the following on his personal FB page...
I'm happy to announce that I'm hanging up my Kingston Trio stripes in exchange for solids and plaids. I'm also trading wearisome travel, airports, hotels, and rental cars for being home with my lovely bride and singing closer to home going forward.
I've had a memory filled run singing The Kingston Trio & Limeliter songbooks and will cherish many memories. Thank you to my family and friends that have showed so much enthusiasm and support over these past years. It's been a great run and the fun WILL continue!
He posted the next bit a few moments later:
To be clear, resigning from the Kingston Trio does NOT mean the end of my musical career. I feel immensely blessed and look forward to the next musical chapter. I have three album projects that are unfinished, a solo career to continue, and who knows what else this old universe has in store. I remain passionate about singing and will always enjoy interacting with audiences. I don't plan to retire until the last nail goes in the lid.
I noticed two things. One..he used the word "happy " when announcing his leaving the Marvinettes...and TWO: No word of thanks or praise to Mighty Mike or Terrific Tim...
Make of THAT what you will...
