Thanks for the info. I vaugely re call the Gertude Berg show. Seems it was in the era of the "Honeymooners", Sid Caeser "Show of shows" etc., and then there was Molly Goldberg who always shouted out her window. mid 50's stuff. Many of these early TV shows started out as radio programs. Kinda glad we don't have that now! Although with what's available on the 2,000 or so cable stations, I find myself watching vintage re runs. Previous Message
Terry, The top clip is from The Gertrude Berg Show (I have absolutely no recollection of this TV show whatsoever). The second is from The Mike Douglas Show (Not sure) and the last is from The Jack Benny show.
I know there are some motion picture directors who don't like it when their films they directed in black and white are colorized. I have no preference but just posted them because they are different. Previous Message
Possibly a clip from "Young Men in a Hurry" ? Previous Message
Obviously a huge Kingston Trio fan has taken the time to add color to some old clips. There is even more from this person but you get the picture.
The Trio appeared on the second Gertrude Berg Show, not the one where she was Molly Goldberg, but where she was, I believe a college teacher. She had scheduled a classical concert but found out the Kingston Trio was set to appear at the same time. She came upon the Trio rehearsing, (the clip shown here) and as able to work out a compromise.
I happened to see that show because my grandmother, who lived with us, was a Gertrude Berg fan.
