Jake Faulkner

Jake is a working, gigging multi-instrumentalist and teaches guitar, bass guitar, upright bass, ukulele, mandolin, and beginner banjo in Silver Lake / Los Feliz, Hollywood, and Echo Park.

Hi, I’m Jake! I’m a professional musician based in our wonderful Los Feliz neighborhood. I graduated Cal Arts and play in several established musical groups ranging from Bluegrass to Classical to Latin and Rock n Roll.

I have an easy and natural approach to music that will work with you to gain the skills you would like to have on your instrument. I feel equally comfortable teaching you how to play Mississippi John Hurt on the guitar or how to slap the bass like Willie Dixon, or play a studied classical work - or if you want to learn to compose, I can show you how to arrange for horns, strings, harps, etc!
