Uganda pulls out of Invictus Games

Posted by Susan T on September 9, 2026, 8:33 am, in reply to "September 9 - them"

Uganda has pulled out of the Duke of Sussex's Invictus Games because of the 'Harry-Meghan nonsense', with its military chief insisting: 'I support the monarch.'

General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, head of the country's armed forces, insisted this morning that he did not want to be 'construed as being opposed to His Majesty'.

General Kainerugaba, the president's son, said in a post on X: 'In order not to be construed as being opposed to His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom, whom we deeply revere, Uganda hereby withdraws from the Invictus Games.

'We shall not participate in anything that does not have His Majesty's approval.'

Asked by The Times why he made the announcement, General Kainerugaba said: 'I have factions in the Ministry of Defence that support that Harry-Meghan nonsense. I had to quash it straight away. I support the monarch. Period.'

It's unfortunate that any of the participating countries feels the need to withdraw, but this will probably the first of several who want to distance themselves from the nonsense. This doesn't bode well for the fundraising, which is behind schedule as is. If there's a cascade of withdrawals, without enough funding, the games will collapse. No one wants that.

The fundraising has been practically nil for quite some time and Boeing pulled out of it's sponsorship and so far there hasn't been any big sponsor taking over from Boeing. It was revealed a couple of months ago that the Games could be cancelled by the UK MOD. The MOD provided their share of the money they promised, but Harry has fallen quite short of his and MOD isn't going to cough up more.
I'm sure Harry and Meghan are wooing their new billionaire friend in Scotland to pony up a lot of money.

Harry's Team Blames The King For Uganda's IG Withdrawl

Posted by karenl on September 10, 2026, 1:35 am, in reply to "Re: Uganda pulls out of Invictus Games "

"People close to Prince Harry have blamed a letter sent on behalf of King Charles for Uganda's withdrawal from the Invictus Games. Uganda has pulled out of the Games, stating that it will not participate in any event without King Charles's approval.

A source close to Harry told ITV: "Intended or unintended, this is clearly a consequence of the Lord Chamberlain’s guidance regarding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex that was rushed out without consultation on Monday. "Sadly, the only people who will suffer are the Invictus Games competitors," they added. In the early hours of Wednesday (September 9), General Muhoozi Kainerugaba wrote on X that “Uganda hereby withdraws from the Invictus Games” because he did not want the country's participation to be “construed as being opposed to His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom, whom we deeply revere”."
It's not Harry's "Team", it's Harry himself having a man baby tantrum and blaming the King. The King had nothing to do with Uganda withdrawing, it's more likely they recognized the Invictus Games as nothing more than a massive grifting/corruption by the Sussexes and the IG Board. Harry will never admit that he and Meghan have turned the Games into the Meghan Folly.
Harry hasn't spoken to his father since returning to the UK.....so much for the reconciliation excuse and being concerned for his father's health. They won't stay a year.

Truth behind Meghan Markle’s ‘The Gentlemen’ role: ‘She took it as an offer'

Posted by Martha on September 9, 2026, 1:05 pm, in reply to "September 9 - them"

Well, it seems our experienced and savvy Hollywood star (cough, cough) has forgotten how to speak Hollywoodese. She didn't know the difference between a casual conversation, an offer of a contract and being in negotiations to close the negotiations.

However she wants to spin this, she'll wind up the victim because of the 'backlash' and the non-existent offer being withdrawn.

their action-packed autumn diary

Posted by Susan T on September 11, 2026, 9:25 pm, in reply to "September 9 - them"

Article by Rebecca English

quotes:

But this latest development shows exactly why it was right to do so. So far, Harry's upcoming pseudo-royal appearances include the inaugural 'Invictus Spirit' Awards on Thursday, September 17. There is even chatter that the duchess could join him at this glitzy event.

That already presents a massive scheduling clash for the Royal Household. The Prince and Princess of Wales announced on Friday they are undertaking a 'royal away-day' the same day to the Isle of Bute.

(snip)

The King also has a major public engagement that day, details of which cannot be revealed in advance, but one that is likely to be of significant global interest.

It's exactly the kind of optics the Royal Household was so keen to avoid, although they are surely increasingly inevitable because, contrary to belief in some quarters, there is no diary co-ordination with Team Sussex.

Clearly Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace are hopeful the public will focus on the duties of the official working royals. But it's hard to deny that, to start with at least, any appearance by the Sussexes back in the UK will create a buzz.

Well, it would nice if the reporters who claim to be so horrified and disgusted by the duo's scheduling antics would stop writing five to ten articles about the pseudo royals for every one article the write about the working royals.

They Rubbed Charles Spencer The Wrong Way

Posted by karenl on September 11, 2026, 10:54 pm, in reply to "their action-packed autumn diary"

The story starts at 3:52 or so. Neil Sean always talks about other subjects beforehand so you can skip that. Charles Spencer apparently made a very generous offer to Harry and Meghan. They could stay at a house on Althorp estate, while looking for a more permanent place. It's a 17th house, but very beautiful. Meghan turned it down because it wasn't "posh" enough for her. Didn't go down well with Charles Spencer and things may have cooled off between Charles and the Harkles.

I would not let her near it to "renovate" it to 21st century "posh".
The property has had a lucky escape.

Well yes, the same media that was down on them for Megxit has quickly reverted to Harry and Meghan's busy schedule in gushing terms.
What irritates me is the media continual insinuations that the Royal Family, especially the King and the Prince and Princess of Wales are quaking in fear over the Sussex "engagements" and what they will do next.
Royal engagements are scheduled months or at least a year in advance. The Sussex PR stunts...I mean engagements are thrown together usually at the last moment to compete. I'm sure the IG award soiree will be a laugh and shambles at the same time. It will be interesting to see if Harry and Meghan, if she attends...HA, will enter through a side entrance to avoid the public.

I'm so sick of the "Oh, they stole the spotlight!" article.

No, the media GAVE them the spotlight by flooding the media site with a dozen articles about them while virtually ignoring the working royals.

If the media feels it must share what they're up to, why not hold back the articles for a day when the working royals aren't out and about? After all, the twosome likes to drop old news to take attention from current news about the working royals.

Mmm yeah. The photo of Lily on the trike and Archie running ahead looks like it was shot at Althorp. It was sunny and dry so why are both wearing boots with their summer clothes? Archie has on bright blue boots, but the shot of "Archie" stomping and jumping in a puddle, he has the green Wellies on. The summer clothes the kids have on vs. Harry and Meghan being bundled up is telling.
It's like the photos she released at the beach in Portugal and then Althorp, "Lily" was two different girls....she got caught when she took the photo of Harry tossing Lily in the pool....the other "Lily" was over at the side of the pool.

Uganda's back in

Posted by Susan T on September 14, 2026, 10:55 am, in reply to "September 9 - them"

Private secretary Sir Clive Alderton called General Muhoozi Kainerugaba to say that King Charles had been 'moved' by his 'sensitive consideration' of what His Majesty's opinion might be on the forthcoming event to be held in Birmingham next year.

The Chief of Defence Forces and Senior Presidential Adviser for Special Operations last week announced on X that he was pulling his country's entry to the Paralympic-style event for military personnel over the ongoing 'Harry-Meghan nonsense' following the couple's bombshell return to the UK.

(snip)

Now in another statement on social media, Colonel Chris Magezi, acting director of Defence Public Information in Uganda, said the matter had been resolved after Sir Clive made a discreet telephone call.

He said: 'The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has approved UPDF (Uganda People's Defence Force) participation in the upcoming Invictus Games next year in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

'The decision follows a telephone conversation between General Kainerugaba and the Principal Private Secretary to His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen of the United Kingdom, the Right Honourable Sir Clive Alderton KCVO.

Huh, so an article comes out last week about the letter circulated at the school to parents about the Sussex children's security and privacy and the school confirms they hadn't been enrolled at the school. Now, on a Monday, the kids are going to a "new" school...the first school was just a decoy in their usual game.
So they have to move the kids because of security concerns, but can't stop putting them in photos and videos on social media. Interesting that real Royals and celebs don't have such a security problem as the Sussexes😡🙄

SITTING DUCKS - Even The School Run Is Not Safe From Drama

Posted by Hollie24 on September 16, 2026, 2:26 am, in reply to "September 9 - them"

Taz. The Montecito neighbors and school parents are talking. This the first confirmation the kids were actually attending school. The other parents and the school staff liked Archie and Lili but hated all the security surrounding them. Oh, and the reason why Lili and Archie were yanked from the first British school was apparently because the Wessex convoy (multiple cars) got separated and stuck in morning school traffic. They decided that the school was too much of a security risk and put the kids in another school--like the children haven't had enough instability in their lives.

Apparently a parent at the California school said that no one at the school was notified of the move and Archie and Lili didn't have a chance to say goodbye to their friends and their teachers or anyone at the place. I doubt it even occurred to Them that Archie and Lili had any feelings or worries about suddenly leaving everything they've ever known. Good parents prep their children when families move.

Taz believes, and I agree with her, that She is using the kids to further her additional security case. She's already using them to show she's a good mother (hah!)and to merch things, so using them to manipulate court cases, etc, fits right in. But those children are going to be very messed up teens and adults.

The inconvenience these morons are creating for the other parents and children is deplorable. Apparently this is quite a prestigious school and the Sussexes had to be careful in their wording as to why the kids were being withdrawn....they could find themselves in legal trouble with the school.
Neil Sean also states what I've been saying, the Govt. knows very well that if Harry and Meghan get taxpayer funded security, it's death for the Govt., especially the PM. It should be noted that the present PM and the Home Secretary are not fans of the Monarchy..not outwardly hostile like Cherie Blair was, they just don't hold the Monarchy as an important entity. Neil really spelled it out that Harry and Meghan are private citizens and are not carrying out any duties or work for the Royal Family...he got a little heated over it.

A couple of things, there were only about 25-35 members of the public out to see Harry's arrival for the IG Spirit Awards. One million dollars was raised, that's nothing, IG is barely hanging on by a thread.
Meghan flew out of London Fri. evening to head back to the US. It wasn't supposed to get out, but as usual with the Sussexes, it was leaked out. As far as the royal commentators know, she hasn't returned. She left Harry and the kids. "Supposedly" she's going to attend the Emmy Awards.
Harry and Meghan left the US for the UK with an $80,000,000 debt hanging over their heads, supposedly. I would believe it.

It was sometime this summer I think it was Taz that showed the photo of Spencer and his wife at Maison Sussex, in her video podcast. I remember seeing it.
I believe that Spencer wanted it to be only his nephews and himself walking behind the funeral carriage, he's a real piece of work. It was all the show, the big bad Royal Family and he and his "beloved" nephews shunning the Royals to walk behind the "beloved" sister and the boy's mother.

When my ex-husband died, I was surprisingly sad. We had a very contentious divorce, with a custody battle that lasted years. But somehow I was a source of comfort for my son and his cousins. I found myself giving the generous version of events when questions were asked, even though everyone knew what I was doing and I could have just as easily been brutally honest. So while I had the same reaction to seeing Charles walking behind Diana's coffin, now it makes more sense.
