Uganda pulls out of Invictus Games

Uganda has pulled out of the Duke of Sussex's Invictus Games because of the 'Harry-Meghan nonsense', with its military chief insisting: 'I support the monarch.'

General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, head of the country's armed forces, insisted this morning that he did not want to be 'construed as being opposed to His Majesty'.

General Kainerugaba, the president's son, said in a post on X: 'In order not to be construed as being opposed to His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom, whom we deeply revere, Uganda hereby withdraws from the Invictus Games.

'We shall not participate in anything that does not have His Majesty's approval.'

Asked by The Times why he made the announcement, General Kainerugaba said: 'I have factions in the Ministry of Defence that support that Harry-Meghan nonsense. I had to quash it straight away. I support the monarch. Period.'

It's unfortunate that any of the participating countries feels the need to withdraw, but this will probably the first of several who want to distance themselves from the nonsense. This doesn't bode well for the fundraising, which is behind schedule as is. If there's a cascade of withdrawals, without enough funding, the games will collapse. No one wants that.

The fundraising has been practically nil for quite some time and Boeing pulled out of it's sponsorship and so far there hasn't been any big sponsor taking over from Boeing. It was revealed a couple of months ago that the Games could be cancelled by the UK MOD. The MOD provided their share of the money they promised, but Harry has fallen quite short of his and MOD isn't going to cough up more.
I'm sure Harry and Meghan are wooing their new billionaire friend in Scotland to pony up a lot of money.

"People close to Prince Harry have blamed a letter sent on behalf of King Charles for Uganda's withdrawal from the Invictus Games. Uganda has pulled out of the Games, stating that it will not participate in any event without King Charles's approval.

A source close to Harry told ITV: "Intended or unintended, this is clearly a consequence of the Lord Chamberlain’s guidance regarding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex that was rushed out without consultation on Monday. "Sadly, the only people who will suffer are the Invictus Games competitors," they added. It's not Harry's "Team", it's Harry himself having a man baby tantrum and blaming the King. The King had nothing to do with Uganda withdrawing, it's more likely they recognized the Invictus Games as nothing more than a massive grifting/corruption by the Sussexes and the IG Board. Harry will never admit that he and Meghan have turned the Games into the Meghan Folly.
Harry hasn't spoken to his father since returning to the UK.....so much for the reconciliation excuse and being concerned for his father's health. They won't stay a year.

Well, it seems our experienced and savvy Hollywood star (cough, cough) has forgotten how to speak Hollywoodese. She didn't know the difference between a casual conversation, an offer of a contract and being in negotiations to close the negotiations.

However she wants to spin this, she'll wind up the victim because of the 'backlash' and the non-existent offer being withdrawn.

The story starts at 3:52 or so. Neil Sean always talks about other subjects beforehand so you can skip that. Charles Spencer apparently made a very generous offer to Harry and Meghan. They could stay at a house on Althorp estate, while looking for a more permanent place. It's a 17th house, but very beautiful. Meghan turned it down because it wasn't "posh" enough for her. Didn't go down well with Charles Spencer and things may have cooled off between Charles and the Harkles.

Well yes, the same media that was down on them for Megxit has quickly reverted to Harry and Meghan's busy schedule in gushing terms.
What irritates me is the media continual insinuations that the Royal Family, especially the King and the Prince and Princess of Wales are quaking in fear over the Sussex "engagements" and what they will do next.
Royal engagements are scheduled months or at least a year in advance. The Sussex PR stunts...I mean engagements are thrown together usually at the last moment to compete. I'm sure the IG award soiree will be a laugh and shambles at the same time. It will be interesting to see if Harry and Meghan, if she attends...HA, will enter through a side entrance to avoid the public.

I'm so sick of the "Oh, they stole the spotlight!" article.

No, the media GAVE them the spotlight by flooding the media site with a dozen articles about them while virtually ignoring the working royals.

If the media feels it must share what they're up to, why not hold back the articles for a day when the working royals aren't out and about? After all, the twosome likes to drop old news to take attention from current news about the working royals.

Here we go, last week the Express wrote that "according to a close source, Meghan would return to the US in December, not only for her businesses (?), but to visit Doria during the holidays." Uh huh, the same old game playing with the media. What other businesses does Meghan have besides As Ever, or as I call it As Never? None.
