Norway looking into a regency

I did not entirely understand this I will admit. Though I can understand current concern. Perhaps there will be other articles explaining more.

The proposed change, as it is described, is assuming that Magnus will be not be able to serve as regent should the need arise.

Yes, it's very restrictive. ONLY the eldest child of the crown prince/ss would be eligible. No one else. With such a tiny royal family, it seems to create more problems than it solves.

Without a designated backup for Ingrid, it's conceivable that Martha Louise could petition to have herself made regent ahead of Magnus. Now, whether or not that would be successful is another matter but the current wording seems to be creating more problems than it solves.
