OT: 26th Anniversary

This week it will be 26 years since I First joined this board. Marianne signed me up in 2000.

WOW! One of my first "boards" was Ademar's Glittering Royal Events, maybe around the same time. I found Netty's site in the late 90s (IIRC). From there, I found the Royal Jewels of the World board.

RIP Marianne, Wilton, and more. I even miss Henri M, who delighted in needling a Washington DC-area geneologist.

I too would like to reminisce.
I think my first board was the Glittering Events, then I found most of the royal boards from then on.
It's great to read of Ademar, and Wilton.
We did have some great communities back in the old days.

Oh man, I started at Netty's Royal Blue Forum and then found Glittering Royal Events, I loved that MB. When Netty closed down her forum, I migrated to this Board. That was in 2005 and been here since. I still belong to The Royal Forums, but I only visit once or twice a year, many of the top Moderators left or passed away and it's not the same.
When I started at GREMB, I didn't know about the European Royals, Marianne would always answer my e-mail questions, she was very patient and kind to me. Cynthia, Henri M. could be a hoot at times.

I still recall ocasions on the Glittering Events (GREMB) when I had hilarious exchanges with Octavius.

Glad to have you! Martha and I have been here since day one. There have been a ton of changes since then, but this board has survived and thrived, thanks to Susan and to our regular posters. I "met" Susan and Martha on the old AGR, and "met" others on the old ATR. I then discovered Dag's board, then Susan started this board and the rest is history.

This is bringing back so many great memories for me as well. I first found Netty’s website and was always excited when she updated the news section. I never really posted but I would visit all of the boards.

Wow! You guys are awesome. I don't even know when I joined up. I joined as Pondlady because I wasn't sure of the group but several years later, I came out as my real self. I suspect I've been on for 15 years or so. Just don't know!
