Fergie's "Grovelling Apology" To Jeffery Epstein

"Sarah Ferguson sent a grovelling apology to Jeffrey Epstein and hailed him a “supreme friend” after his release from jail for child sex offences, it has been claimed.

The Duchess of York allegedly emailed the millionaire paedophile just weeks after she pledged never to contact him again in an interview. In the March 2011 interview, she apologised for having accepted £15,000 from Epstein, a long-time associate of her ex-husband Prince Andrew.

She said: “I abhor paedophilia and any sexual abuse of children and know that this was a gigantic error of judgment on my behalf.”

But in the email, said to be sent in April, she said sorry to Epstein, claiming she “never used the P (paedophilia) word about you”.

It is claimed she added Epstein had “always been a steadfast, generous and supreme friend to me and my family”.

But she was acting on advice because to maintain contact “would cause more problems to you, the Duke and myself”

Fergie lied to the press. The article also implies that Fergie met Epstein because Andrew and Epstein were "long time associates". Every article I've read was that Andrew met Epstein through Fergie...to bail her out of her debt to Epstein.
It's also new to me that Epstein threatened to sue Fergie,,,no wonder she was in a panic.

Both Andrew and Fergie knew Epstein before Andrew went to New York to get money from Epstein for Fergie.

Andrew always claims that he met Epstein through Ghislaine Maxwell, however, articles that appeared in the local papers at the time of Epstein's Florida trial gave the impression that Fergie introduced Andrew to Epstein while visiting Epstein's home in Florida.

Andrew has always made misguided attempts to protect Fergie. He's also followed her truly stupid advice and paid the consequences. I honestly don't know who's the more foolish of the two. Thank God their daughters seem to have learned from their parents' behavior and also seem to have married sensible, responsible men.

Andrew and Fergie are both rude, crass, vulgar, greedy and dazzled by excessive wealth.
Another thing Fergie wrote in her e-mail to Epstein was that she made her statements to the press out of the fear she would lose her book deals if she didn't speak up. So much for doing the right thing. Fergie was scared of his defamation lawsuit threat, so much for her strong woman bragging.
It also defeats her throwing Andrew under the bus in this debacle. It proves she was much more involved than she's always claimed.....but we knew that already.

The Duchess of York has been dropped as patron of two charities after new revelations about her contact with late paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.

Children's charity Julia's House today said it would be 'inappropriate' to stay involved with Sarah Ferguson after her emailed apology to Epstein emerged.

Now the founders of the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation have announced they were severing ties with Sarah, who was previously one of their patrons.

And the Teenage Cancer Trust is also believed to be 'reviewing' her position as patron of that organisation, which she first backed when it opened a first unit in 1990.

Children's charity Julia's House today said it would be 'inappropriate' to stay involved with Sarah Ferguson after her emailed apology to Epstein emerged.

Now the founders of the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation have announced they were severing ties with Sarah, who was previously one of their patrons - while fellow charity Prevent Breast Cancer announced a similar move.

The Children's Literacy Charity has also asked her to step down as patron, calling any continued role 'inappropriate' after what it described as 'the recent information which has come to light about the Duchess of York and Jeffrey Epstein.

And the Teenage Cancer Trust is also believed to be 'reviewing' her position as patron of that organisation, which she first backed when it opened a first unit in 1990.

And the Teenage Cancer Trust this afternoon revealed the Duchess was no longer a patron of the charity which she has long backed since it opened its first unit in 1990, and to whom she introduced her daughters Beatrice and Eugenie, who remain as patrons.

The British Heart Foundation, one of the UK's largest charities, since confirmed they have also dropped the royal as an ambassador, adding: 'We are grateful for the Duchess' support for our work and thank her for her past efforts to help us save and improve lives by funding pioneering research into cardiovascular disease.'

It sounds to me like Fergie publicly disowned Epstein, then thought she might want to keep the money pipeline open and sent the email. Stupid, shortsighted woman.

Why has this email surfaced now, and who's behind its being released? Is Charles showing a hidden poker hand in order to force Andrew and Sarah out of Royal Lodge?

This email was leaked around the same time emails to Epstein from Peter Mandelson were leaked.

I think the leaks could be coming from somebody who has access to the humongous number of files compiled by the various agencies who investigated Epstein.

I agree that it's someone with access to the files. If I were Andrew and Fergie, I would hunker down at Royal Cottage and keep mouths shut, especially Fergie.
Seven charities have now dumped Fergie, I'm wondering about her book deals, how will the publisher take this info?

Apparently she's devastated and wishes she had never met Epstein. Um, I think she's more devastated that she got found out.

You are spot on Cynthia as she is only sorry her lies were exposed. What I would like to know is why she has been invited to family events? Sarah Ferguson has been divorced from her husband for countless years! Her daughters are adults and both are now mothers. I don’t understand. I understand why Andrew is allowed as it is his family but Sarah?

Andrew came because he is a member of the family, and I think she came along uninvited.

Sarah and Andrew are divorced, but they have lived together for many years. They are domestic partners. The late Duke of Edinburgh disliked Fergie , but the late Queen was fond of her, so Fergie would be invited to Balmoral, Windsor, etc when Philip wasn't there. After Philip died, Fergie was invited to more family things and that has continued. I doubt anyone in the family is fond of her, but they do like and support her daughters and their families, so she gets invited as Andrew's partner, not on her own merits. And I think Anne and Edward want Andrew to be happy.

After this latest revelation, Fergie may be invited to private family things such as Christmas at Sandringham, but she would be told she wouldn't be able to join the family for the annual walk to Christmas services, at least for this year. Who knows if she'll be allowed again?
The Royal Family is in a tricky situation yet again because of Andrew and Fergie. I'm sure she is devastated, only because her lies to the press and her grovelling to Epstein were exposed. I think she thought she was safe from being exposed and that's why she threw both Andrew and Beatrice under the bus...they would protect her instead of speaking out. (Beatrice and the BBC interview).
Fergie is done...at least for quite awhile. None of her "high profile" friends have jumped to defend her, it's been quiet.

Well, yes, I know all that but there was a distinct vibe at the late Duchess of Kent's funeral that Fergie was a tag-along, not an invited or expected guest. No one wanted to be seen with Andrew, but she was really not being greeted by the family. Fergie was persona barely grata before, so now I'm sure there is planning to keep the two of them as under the radar as possible. There is always the threat of a double interview or a "memoir", so they have to be placated to an extent. Christmas should be interesting.
