Harkles cut back on staff to save some cash: sources

I wonder if they're having a cash pinch because they have to pay hush money to those employees? While I'm sure all of their employees signed an NDA as part of their personal services contract, the Harkles would have to sue the employee if they spilled the tea and all the laundry would be aired anyway.

Meghan won't be financially successful in the long run with her shotgun approach, trying everything but doing no one thing well. Marie Chantal of Greece has a line of children's clothes. The Earl of Snowden has a successful furniture and home accessories line. Felix of Luxembourg has a chateau that makes and sells wine and is a wedding/party venue. Carl Philip of Sweden has a high-end textile business. And, of course, Charles has a successful business in Duchy Originals. If Meghan wasn't so insistent of being the face of her business she could have done something very high-end and exclusive. But no.

And she'll continue to go beyond their income. She doesn't learn and she doesn't follow anyone's advice.

I think the Twerks still have some magical thinking about getting money from the firmly-closed Bank of Charles.

Markle has a history of living beyond her means, not paying her bills and cadging freebies whenever she could. This carried over to her marriage to Dimwit. I have a feeling that the days of freebies for the Harkles stopped a while ago, except for Markus Anderson and maybe a few other loyal hanger ons.
Markle has the repeated business flops...oh, have we heard anything from the Patent Office lately? We know about the false claims she makes on the "products" and the high prices she charges for inferior quality goods.
In addition, we have Dimwit facing a mountain of legal fees plus the fees he's been hit with regarding the Court Judgements. Don't forget the $4.5 million for their joke security goons. Then the mortgage for Casa del Sussex...if they actually bought the estate...if not, then the rent or housing fees for wherever they live, together or separately, along with the usual bills that go along with life...utility, etc.
Donations to Archewell are nil, Sentebale is out of Harry's hands (I don't have proof, But, if it comes out that money from the charity was skimmed towards Harry, I wouldn't be surprised).Travalyst is a bust and Invictus, well, the donations have dropped since it was revealed how much is spent on the Grifter Duo instead of the athletes.
In addition, we haven't heard squat since last fall concerning any "projects" being planned or in actual "production" for Netflix. Markle isn't doing anymore filming for her "lifestyle" show. They're done and I don't think they have much staff except for a skeleton crew at best.

My sis-in-law send me two jars of her homemade apricot preserves every year. It's rich and thick and comes in a plain jar with a piece of paper giving the date it was made. I'll take those jars of deliciousness over fancy packaging any time.

I don't think the newly-hired media person would have been sent to London to ask for money on the Harkles' behalf. More than likely it was a one-drink meeting where pleasantries were exchanged and nothing substantive was discussed. Charles doesn't have his aides conduct meetings in public places, so my hunch is that this "meeting" has all the heft of two neighbors waving 'hello' in passing.

Meredith Maines is Harry's Chief of Staff and I think has been with him for a year--maybe longer. I think the meeting was deliberately held on "neutral ground" sp to speak.

I thought Maines was hired within the last six months or so.

As for the meeting being on neutral ground, why would Charles give up any leverage and consent to that? Look how it was leaked to the press instead of being kept quiet. There's an article saying that William supported gestures towards the Sussexes. What? Since when?

Oh look, it's July. The usual "will they or won't they be invited to Balmoral" and "will they or won't the Harkles go to Balmoral"? The usual scraggy olive branches are hauled out. I'm not really believing the story, it's been touted in People, a Sussex propaganda outlet and of course the tabloids are eating it up. Maines is a recent hire and funny, before she was hired, she was noted for her blistering attacks on the Royal Family while sympathizing for the poor, picked on Sussexes.
I agree with Harry and Meghan, it's all for financial begging and trying to get Pa to pressure the Govt. to restore Harry's security status and IPP status.
