As part of the Oman State Visit, there was a display of Royal Collection objects including this ruby and diamond tiara. It was given to Queen Victoria by Sayyid Sa'id, Sultan of the Omani Empire. Also according to the Royal Collection site it was probably commissioned to mark the Queen’s Coronation in 1838.
